Achiltibuie

Right on the coast, at the end of a tortuous drive, is the small village of Achiltibuie. It is the perfect place for a quiet picnic on a sunny day, with its grassy shore above the beach. From there, you can go out cruising to the Summer Isles which lie just offshore and take in the birds and seals which abound. Local knowledge gives the skippers a fascinating running commentary. Some cruises land on the larger islands where you can go for a walk or just sit and dream.

Guided tours show a magnificent array of flowers, fruit, herbs and vegetables growing in a modern ondoor garden without soil or pesticides.
