Historic Assynt
Historic Assynt was set up in the late 1990's to raise funds for the consolidation of the ruins of Ardvreck Castle and Calda House, and the restoration of the Old Kirk and MacLeod Burial Vault in Inchnadamph. The first three of those aims have already been achieved and the church now houses a range of finds, records and research facilities. The final stage of the work on the Vault will hopefully take place this year. The completion of those initial aims has set Historic Assynt free to become more actively involved in heritage schemes throughout Assynt. In co-operation with Comunn Eachdraidh Asainte it is conducting a feasibility study into a long term archaeological exploration and conservation programme for the Clachtoll Broch, and other smaller scale projects are also being explored.

There are a number of ways people can become involved: · Joining the rota of volunteers to open the church to visitors during the summer · Helping to create a photographic record of archaeological sites in Assynt · Planning and administration
