Assynt Leisure Centre Lochinver

Opened on October 16th 2004 is the new Assynt Leisure Centre situated next to the harbour at Lochinver. This very impressive building, constructed by RJ McLeod, and which cost £1.1 million to complete, will offer the people of Assynt a facility which is second to none.

Downstairs is the light and spacious foyer, the sports hall, fitness room, changing rooms and a multi-purpose room. The sports hall has three full-sized badminton courts and can be used for a variety of different sports.

Upstairs there is be a youth café and homework club, together with facilities for adult learning. Guidance and support will be available for those who want to improve their skills or undertake academic study at a variety of levels.

There is now a programme of activities up and running, with all areas in use. A timetable of use by various groups and organisations is published termly and can be obtained from the Manager or seen on line at:
